Flower Essence Therapist
Peter Seebeck

Hi I’m Peter, I started Flowers on the Path after many years of seeing the tremendous benefit people with mental health challenges got from using flower essences, such as improved mood and a reduction in the emotional challenges of trauma.

I completed a Bachelor of Counselling and Bachelor of Behavioural Science double degree at Notre Dame University in 2016. During that time and afterwards I volunteered as a telephone crisis supporter, and worked as a counsellor and support worker in the mental health sector. I also completed further training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). Prior to working in mental health I supported children's education as a Montessori Teachers Aide and piano teacher.

Like many people I was initially sceptical about the effectiveness of flower essences when I first came across them 25 years ago. However since then I’ve seen many positive outcomes in adults, children, and animals, and learnt about the research supporting them. I’m now certain that flower essences have a useful and effective role to play in many areas of life.

During consultations I work patiently and non-judgmentally with people, seeking a deeper understanding of their needs, goals, strengths and challenges. I’m comfortable discussing a wide range of issues whether small or complex. In fact, working with seemingly small issues early on is the best opportunity to prevent more difficult challenges developing later.
